funeral home directory

Writing a poem for parent's funeral can be near impossible, you've just lost one or both of the most loving people in the world and writing a funeral poem is probably going to be impossible. It is considered a great honor to be asked to write a eulogy and while the whole purpose of an eulogy is to speak from the heart while commemorating the person who has passed away, there are a few things to remember to help you along with writing an eulogy.

Hopefully you have the love and support of family and friends throughout this painful time. A eulogy that presents itself well is one that displays the humorous and loving nature of the deceased. If you were very close to the person who died and you are expected to stand up in church or at the graveside to recite a poem, make sure that you have a supporter.

You should confer with the deceased person s other family members so that you can verify as to the exact age, important dates and places, and other personal data that you need to include in the eulogy. Poems can range in topics and styles, flowery or overly dramatic poetry is not the only option available. If you are still looking for funeral poems, I have written more on the subject which I hope you may find useful.

Above all, remember to breathe. Again remember, the service and eulogy is held to honor the deceased and celebrate life.
