poems for funeral tributes

A lot of people read out poems at wakes and funerals. Remembering someone special in a personal way can be healing for everyone concerned, for a eulogy is a deeply personal way of saying goodbye.

The audience for your funeral speech couldn't be more sympathetic and welcoming, and your deep feelings for the person who died will make the eulogy powerful. The right memorial service poetry can really set the mood for the whole ceremony. You need to take this time to share your loss, to laugh and talk and share your thoughts and feelings with each other.

People should realize through the poem that they lived with a kind soul and great person.

Writing a eulogy should not be taken lightly. You can include poems, quotations or passages from the Bible, when appropriate.
